This is the final boat design created in Google SketchUp.

Building Process

Final Product
"Titanic"- For this project, my teammate and I had to build a boat that followed Mrs. Gerrol's regulations. The regulations are pictured below.

The Test
This is the test of our boat. In the end, our boat was 7.5 inches long, 3 inches wide, 8 inches in sail width, and 8.25 inches tall. Our sail was too wide to fit regulations, but we were still able to test it. Of all the boats tested, our boat went the second furthest. The boat itself was made of .25 inch balsa wood. We used aluminum foil to make the bottom of our boat smooth. We used 4 craft sticks to make the pontoons and part of the sail. Plastic wrap was used to make the sail. We put 3 paper clips at the end of our boat to weight the back down to reduce drag and prevent sinking.
